I have one boring blank wall in my home office that has been crying out for help. From time to time, I participate in web conferences that include the option to show my video. Lately as I am in these conferences, I see everyone’s video and my video background shows that boooring blank wall!
What is one to do?
I went to Kirkland (home décor store we have in Arizona) and found two great pictures. I didn’t want an office theme, yet I didn’t want a home theme on the wall. Well I found two colorful pictures, only to decide they work better in our stairwell.
Back to square one, but I had this one idea that I decided to try – which actually was my first thought. A small collage of picture frames with inspirational quotes!
First, I headed to my local Walmart for a few picture frames. I selected several 8×10 and 5×7 frames, as I wanted to make things interesting by having different sizes. I also thought it might be nice to add a wall clock to the collage, so I purchased a silver clock to match the frames.
Second, I went to Pinterest to locate free printables that I could place in the frames. Check out this post from beinspiredcreative.com. Here are a few examples I choose:
Third, now was time for placement. I thought it might be fun to try a few options before installation :-). My hubby is great at measurements and he is Chief Picture Hanger, so I enlisted his help!
Clock in the Middle
Clock on Top
We were going for symmetry but in the end went with what felt right! Couple measurements, few nails and now my wall is no longer boring AND adds a lil’ inspiration throughout my day.
Next venture – maybe paint or I’ve have been watching design choices that include a collage of clocks!
Now that I have tried this on my own, I am planning to incorporate ideas from tutorials that I just found regarding wall collages. I so badly need to give a refresh to my entry way. Stay tuned…
